Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. There are more than 20 albums that have been released by her. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock, but it also has hints of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first artist to launch her own record company in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Both her parents were both of Montreal descent.
